• "The machine works great. It took a bit of trial and error to find the right temperature—setting 10 was too hot on a warm day, and 5 was a little cool—but once adjusted, it performed really well. A solid machine. Ka pai!"

    -Tim (Wairarapa)

  • "The EDI is so easy to operate, our whole family has been able to use it. No more aching wrists and hands! A single battery will last us the whole day. A great design.

Great communication and service from Ben."

    -Meadows Family (Porangahau)

  • "I would highly recommend the EDI docking iron as it is much easier on your hand and wrist, especially for smaller hands. The batteries last well and it is very efficient with gas usage. No problems in the wind. Great customer service too."

    -Pete (Dannevirke)

  • "We had a good tailing with 10,500 lambs done with the tailing iron, really happy with it! Easy to use, way more efficient with gas, no pains in the hands from an oversized handle and although slightly heavier than other irons it is better balanced so not as front heavy. Well done mate a good product!"

    -Stuart Fraser, MT Benger Station

  • "Your docking iron has been the best I used in the last twenty years!"

    -Jason (Taihape)

  • "Did our first lot of docking today and just want to say your docking iron was amazing! No numb hands and was a lot better on the lambs too."

    -Demelza

  • "Love your unit, so glad you have done it as I hated those old ones. We do 16,000 a year and they barely lasted the season ! And young fullas never know how to fix!

So good shit 👏. Happy to recommend"

    -Tim

  • “We’ve been using the EDI Docking Iron this season and are really pleased with it. It holds its heat far better than any of the previous irons we’ve had, seals wounds cleanly with minimal to no bleeding, and the lambs look noticeably less stressed. Even in strong winds it performs flawlessly once the pressure is set correctly.

We’re docking 600–700 lambs a day with no battery issues, and the metal carry case is a great addition since the iron stays hot for a long time. All round, it’s a great bit of gear — a real improvement on anything we’ve used before."

    -John

  • “I bought a Docking Iron from EDI at the Central Districts Field Days and have been using it this docking season. I’m very impressed - it performs great, and there’s no wrist strain or RSI with this machine.

    -Neil (Pahiatua)

  • "Myself and my partner are docking contractors known as Back Acres Tailing, and we are situated in north Canterbury South Island.

We dock over 100,000 tails in a season. We originally used a typical manual docking iron and this put a lot of pressure wrists and RSI.

It was difficult to manage how long you could cut tails before a stress injury would become an issue.

When we heard about the EDI we naturally thought to give it a go, and we will never look back.

The EDI is such a finely engineered piece of equipment that works so well for our business. We have waved goodbye to RSI and it allows us to use all staff members to cut tails. The EDI lives up to its name for being brilliant in the wind and getting to a good temperature to sear and have next to no bleeders.

The EDI also keeps up with its workload. We generally do around 350-400/hr so having a product that keeps up is fantastic. The battery life is great. We would definitely recommend it!"

    -The Team at Back Acres

  • "I would just like to say what a wonderful invention. Previously I would get to the end of docking and feel like I had been arm wrestling Mike Tyson for two weeks. Now there is no sore fore arms or wrists. There is no extra effort needed if there is a lamb with dags or large tails. Not only is it better for the animals it is better for the people.Well done"

    -Paul Nation (Wellington)

  • "I am sure they’ll be loads of farmers and managers looking into your product. Last season your unit got through about 20,000 lambs over our blocks without missing a beat"
